“Liquor, Cannabis, Gambling… and Your Fundraising Event,” a new toolkit produced by Washington Nonprofits in partnership with Wayfind and the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board! With support from the Office of the Secretary of State, this resource was designed to help you stay legal at your next fundraising event.

The toolkit includes information on gambling, which often takes the form of raffles within events. Nonprofits should note that the permitting of gambling will change in July 2018. Stay tuned as we learn and share more. The toolkit will be updated this fall to reflect new information.

Nonprofit Bylaws Workshop with Wayfind

Date: January 27, 2016
All nonprofits need bylaws. Bylaws is the governing document for the nonprofit and its board of directors. But what does that mean? What is the real purpose of the bylaws and what provisions should be in bylaws? This training for nonprofit leaders will cover the purpose of nonprofit bylaws, and explain all necessary or recommended nonprofit bylaw provisions. This training is excellent for those who are going to start a nonprofit, or would like to review and update their nonprofit provisions. Highly recommended for nonprofit board members.
